Every year the museum arranges special annual events. One of them is the Kinetic Sculpture Parade, a festival where entire Baltimore is engaged in the special vehicles constructed and created.
At the museum one can see one gigantic pink poodle for instance. Under the enormous belly two persons pedal and steer this creature during 15 miles, through the city, through sand and mud and finally takes their creature on a floating tour in the sea! Up to forty vehicles have participated. The first one finishing the race is not the winner, the winner is the one in median place – and there are lots of other prizes to win in different categories.
