Take the roller coaster

Art Line did not receive funding from the South Baltic Cross-Border Program.  After all efforts and so many positive meetings with all partner and politicians it was a glimpse of black void to open the answer from the EU-program steering committee.  Not that we didn’t know how tricky it can be to get through the eye of a needle. ..

Now it’s time to jump even higher and investigate our other possibilities, to reflect and not let innovative ideas, projects and co-operations go to waste. The road is not uphill, more like roller coaster.  

Posting a photo I took some years ago in Gdynia. The boys  wanted out for an adventure and tried a small sailing-boat without a sail. They worked hard to get out on the ocean to go swimming by the horizon. Although they didn’t even have a sail, I’m thinking of the words of Kierkegaard who compared the situation in life with the one of a sailor. You have a lot of space on the ocean, but you have to parry the wind and steer, otherwise the wind and the sea will decide what happens. We have chosen to sail to windward and that is exciting.
